Windstar Cruises to return down under for local season

Australia is set to welcome Windstar Cruises for its inaugural local season down under. The cruises will showcase all over Australia and New Zealand and agents will have the opportunity to canvas new cruising experiences for their clients, closer to home.

On offer for the season are Windstar’s private yacht-style cruises that serve just 312 guests on board Star Breeze.

A Windstar Cruises sailing to promote for agents is the 14-night Tasman Sea Treasures, which ventures from the New Zealand fjords and South Australia from Melbourne to Auckland departing 4 December 2022.

The sailing is priced from $6,218 per person twin share for an Oceanview suite and includes an additional bonus of US$200 per person shipboard credit.

The cruise will feature Hagley Park, Willowbank and the Cardboard Cathedral in Christchurch, Baldwin Street, the world’s steepest street, and wine sampling from New Zealand’s Marlborough region. A visit to Te Papa in Wellington, an interactive Maori cultural museum, will also be on offer.

Another cruise on offer is a 10-night deep diver down under, which journeys to the Great Barrier Reef and Beyond from Melbourne to Cairns, departing 25 January 2023.

The cruise is priced from $7,614 per person twin share for an oceanview suite and includes an additional bonus US$100 (about AU$149) per person shipboard credit.

On this cruise, guests can enjoy remote, small islands like Middle Percy and Fraser. With an overnight in Sydney offering the opportunity to visit the UNESCO Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Rocks, holding a koala at the zoo in Mooloolaba, a full day shore excursion to the Great Barrier Reef and well-known wines of the Yarra Valley, guests on board will experience some of Australia’s highlights.

The offer is on until 15 October, unless sold out.
