Edited by Travel Weekly

This week on Travel Weekly TV, Hoda catches up with Meegan Marshall, the chief people officer at Intrepid Travel!

In the interview, she outlines why Intrepid is supporting TW’s Women in Travel Awards and why she thinks the industry is a great place for young women to join.

Meegan is a somewhat new face at the formidable Intrepid Travel brand as the chief people officer, leading a global team across six continents, committed to building a strong, diverse and inclusive culture where staff feel they can strive and achieve their goals.

In 2023, Intrepid Travel is the headline sponsor for Travel Weekly’s Women in Travel Awards, further highlighting its commitment to supporting female members of our industry!

Marshall believes that a career in travel could be life-changing for young women looking for their first job or a new start and says it’s a great opportunity to grow as an employee.

“We’re really proud of how many female leaders we have across Intrepid, over 30 per cent globally,” Marshall, said.

Marshall also touched on Intrepid’s ‘Women’s Expeditions’ which venture off the beaten track and allow travellers to,” adventure with other women and explore places that you might not otherwise get to.”

The Women in Travel Awards return this year after a pandemic-enforced hiatus in what promises to be an evening full of glitz and glamour.

The awards recognise women who have achieved astronomic success in their professional arenas and celebrate their invaluable contribution to the industry through leadership, innovation and courage.
