Tourism Australia Announces New Appointment

Tourism Australia has appointed Andrew Hogg to the role of Regional General Manager Greater China.

Mr Hogg has joined Tourism Australia from Qantas Airways where he held the position of General Manager China. Mr Hogg has over 25 years of experience with Qantas, covering finance, sales, marketing and operations.

Tourism Australia Managing Director John O’Sullivan has said Mr Hogg’s new position is key for the company’s growth in Greater China. “Now’s the time to kick on and step up our efforts to convert the enormous appeal for Australia amongst the Chinese into more actual visits, higher quality itineraries, and, ultimately, increasing spending…” Mr O’Sullivan said.

Mr Hogg has said he is looking forward to his new position, especially at “such a critical time in the market’s expansion.”
