The Adventure Begins: Disney Cruise Line reveals name of its first ship to sail in Southeast Asia
Edited by Travel Weekly

Disney Cruise Line has announced the name of its Singapore-bound vessel the Disney Adventure, revealed by Disney Cruise Line President Thomas Mazloum at the Destination D23 Event in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

With a name that evokes the very spirit of exploration, the Disney Adventure will take families on a fantastical voyage across a sea of Disney, Pixar and Marvel stories, venturing into realms representing every corner of the Disney world – and beyond.

The Journey Aboard the Disney Adventure

Aboard the Disney Adventure, guests will enjoy a stunning collection of spaces and experiences inspired by fantasy, discovery and, of course, adventure – without ever leaving the ship. The new vessel will feature innovative Disney experiences along with the dazzling entertainment, world-class dining and legendary guest service that set Disney Cruise Line apart.

Disney Cruise Line Setting Sail in Southeast Asia

Disney Cruise Line and the Singapore Tourism Board are collaborating to homeport a brand-new Disney cruise ship exclusively in Singapore for at least five years beginning in 2025, marking the cruise line’s debut in Southeast Asia. Singapore was chosen due to its strategic location, world-class air connectivity and port infrastructure, making it a thriving cruise hub in Southeast Asia, a diverse region that is home to over 40 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

    More About the Disney Adventure

Construction of the 208,000-gross-ton ship is projected to be completed at the MV Werften shipyard in Wismar, Germany, under the management of Meyer Werft.

More details about the maiden voyage and onboard experiences will be announced at a later date.
