Seattle, USA - September 4, 2021. Travelers in long line to get their cars at the rental car hub in Seattle Tacoma International Airport, Seattle, USA

Budget Australia and Jetstar have announced a new partnership that will make it easier and more convenient for travellers to pre-arrange their next hire car.

Jetstar’s customers will be able to book a Budget rental car through jetstar.com at the same time as accessing Jetstar’s airfares and great value offers including hotels.

The partnership creates a seamless booking experience and is a continuation of Budget Australia’s commitment to taking the hassle out of car hire so customers can get to the best parts of their holiday sooner.

Available across all bookings on Jetstar’s extensive network across Australia, New Zealand and Japan, customers can choose from a wide range of vehicles, including economy, manual and compact choices, through to intermediate vehicles, right up to full-size and compact SUV models.

Jetstar customers who are members of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program will continue to earn four Qantas Points for every $1 spent on time and kilometre charges on qualifying rentals from Budget Australia. This will allow customers to boost their rewards when booking their next trip, with a total of 700 Qantas Points earned per rental outside Australia.

Bringing together the knowledge and experience of two trusted global travel brands, the partnership is designed to improve the customer experience while rewarding travellers at every stage of their journey.

We are delighted to partner with Jetstar to enhance the end-to-end travel experience for our customers,” MD, Avis Budget Group, Tom Mooney, said.

“By working together, we can deliver a seamless booking process that makes it easier and more convenient for customers to book their flights and car rentals all in one place.”

“We’re committed to providing excellent service and value to our customers, and this partnership of joint experience, expertise, and knowledge is a testament to that.”

“We’re all about delivering great value for our millions of customers through low fares so they can fly to more places, more often,” CCO, Jetstar, Alan McIntyre, said.

“This partnership with Budget means customers can now conveniently combine flights and car hire in one affordable transaction so once they land, they’re ready to explore their destination with more money in their pocket.”
