Jet star puts his multi-million dollar mansion on the market

    Clearly, the cost of living is hitting even the most wealthy of travellers with news outgoing Qantas CEO Alan Joyce is selling his multi-million dollar Mosman mansion.

    Joyce and his husband Shane Lloyd have never actually lived in the house which they purchased last year for $19 million.

    The home now has a sales guidance of $20 million.

    That’s approximately the same cost of 153,846 return trips between Sydney and Melbourne.

    Located on Musgrave Street in Mosman Bay, the property has a deep waterfront position with a jetty and one of the few remaining shark-netted sea pools in the harbour.

    While it’s only minutes from a regular ferry to the city’s CBD, it also has its own permanent berth should its new owner prefer to sail themselves to work in the city.

    The original property was built in approximately 1908 and has since undergone a total rebuild which was completed in July 2015.

    At that time, a search was undertaken to find the most suitable architect proficient in Arts and Crafts who could redesign the house into a modern functioning dwelling, whilst keeping the original aesthetic.
