InterContinental Hayman Island Resort receives top honours at Australian Wine List of the Year Awards 2023
Edited by Travel Weekly

The InterContinental Hayman Island Resort is set to see an influx of wine lovers after it received the highest recommendation in the Australian Wine List of the Year awards 2023.

In the 30th anniversary of the annual awards, the resort’s exceptional wine selection was acknowledged by the judges with a review noting that the list caters for a range of tastes, whether it’s a wine by the glass or bottle of something affordable off the Beverage List.

The hotel received the 3-glass award recognising the resort’s wine list as “Outstanding.”

The judging panel also recognised the opportunity for guests to taste premium wines by the glass served under Coravin. They also commented that Australian wines mingled with the best that were sourced from around the world – ‘whether it’s Jim Barry, The Armagh Shiraz up against Ornellaia by the glass or a well-priced Tuscan vermentino against a Moillard Batard Montrachet Grand Cru’ and the cellar list featured some ‘truly impressive’, aged wines.

    White wine your thing?

“We are thrilled to be acknowledged in Australia’s Wine List of the Year awards, particularly alongside some of Australia’s finest restaurants and bars,” GM, InterContinental Hayman Island Resort, Arpad Romandy, said.

“This recognition reflects our team’s collective experience and passion in providing a variety across Old and New world wines with a balance of affordability and choice, while showcasing Australian and New Zealand wines that complement our guests’ dining experiences.”

Renowned for its picturesque location, world-class amenities, and exceptional culinary offerings, the award reinforces its position as a premier destination for those seeking a luxurious and unforgettable experience.

Or is red wine is more up your alley?

InterContinental Hayman Island Resort consistently offers elevated guest experiences through thoughtfully curated food and wine events in collaboration with renowned winemakers like tasting sessions or enriching culinary journeys.
