INCENTIVE: 15 spots available for G Adventures’ massive global summit
G Adventures has announced its popular agent reward program, Change Makers, is returning this year, with 15 agents from Australia and New Zealand earning a space at the community tourism pioneer’s third Change Makers GX Summit, which will be taking place later this year.
Agents will be able to earn their way to the Change Makers GX Summit – to be held in a yet-to-be-revealed destination. The 15 agents will be a part of a contingent of 75 winning agents from around the globe who will be brought together to celebrate the impact of community tourism alongside G Adventures team members, suppliers, and members of the press.
Last year saw close to 400 change makers have the time of their lives in Peru, where they were also hosted to a ‘Gold’ themed party at the Incan temple, Qorikancha and treated to an after party with a live performance by Village People.
The Change Makers challenge is now live and runs until May 31, 2024. The campaign encourages agents to focus on changing people’s lives through travel by booking G Adventures trips. Agents who successfully earn a place at the Change Makers GX Summit will see first-hand how their work directly impacts local communities in the destinations G Adventures visits.
The Change Makers reward program runs alongside the You Belong with G Experience initiative, with both designed to support G Adventures’ community of agents in changing lives through the booking of the small group operator’s trips around the world.
To be eligible to earn a space, agents automatically receive one entry per ‘life changed’ / traveller booked. The top 10 agents from each region will qualify, with an additional five ‘wildcard’ spaces available to each region to allocate to agents who commit to changing someone’s life by making at least one G Adventures booking, as well as meeting certain wildcard incentive rules.
The wildcard challenges for 2024 include completing G-learning training modules, fundraising for G Adventures’ non-profit partner, Planeterra, opportunities for “first time” booking agents to win a place at the sought after GX Summit, as well as an overall reward for the agent who’s changed the most lives from 1st June, 2023 to 31st May, 2024.
There are still plenty of surprises to be revealed for the event, where agents will see their impact in action. Highlights include visits to ‘G for Good’ community tourism projects built together with Planeterra, as well as destination highlights to help agents build their product knowledge.
Sean Martin, managing director for G Adventures in APAC, says he’s beyond excited to bring back Change Makers for another year, and to welcome agents to G Adventures’ third Change Makers GX Summit.
“Last year’s Change Makers Summit was the most phenomenal event G Adventures has ever hosted, especially being a part of the inaugural GX Summit. There’s nothing more rewarding for me than seeing our global community of agents come together to celebrate our success and the impact we have on improving lives in the countries we take our travellers to. This year is set to be even more epic, and I can’t wait to host our Aussie and Kiwi agents – and to reveal more details in due course.
“We are 100 per cent committed to our agency partners and are their biggest champions. We now have two incredible campaigns in the market to encourage our agency community to change more lives through travel – 2024 is off to a rocking start,” says Martin.
The 2024 Change Makers Challenge is live now and runs until May 31, 2024. Agents can visit here and log into Sherpa, or speak to their regional global purpose specialist for more information.
