Helloworld appoints former Crown Hotels CEO as CCO

    Helloworld Travel Limited today announced that Peter Crinis has accepted the position of chief commercial officer and will commence with the business on Monday, 3 July 2023.

    Crinis has an array of experience across the travel, tourism and hospitality industries in Australia and was previously CEO for Crown Hotels nationally.

    His responsibilities at Crown included developments and properties in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney and the operation of 8 hotels across the Crown portfolio and Crown’s 25 international and luxury brands. 

    Mr Crinis sits on the board of Visit Victoria and a number of charitable organisations and was a board member of the Melbourne Convention Bureau for eight years from 2010 to 2018. 

    “The Company is delighted that Mr Crinis has decided to join Helloworld Travel at such a crucial time during our rebuild from the impacts of COVID-19 and Peter will make an outstanding contribution towards many varied and important elements of the Helloworld business across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and around the world,” Andrew Burnes, Helloworld CEO said.

    Crinis added: “I’ve worked with AOT and subsequently Helloworld for over 20 years now and they have been great partners of Crown throughout that period.

    “I have the greatest respect for distribution at the Retail, Wholesale and Inbound levels and am now delighted to be on the other side of the fence working with such an incredibly dedicated group of professionals in the various Helloworld retail agency networks together with their Wholesale and Inbound businesses.”

    Crinis will commence his role on 3 July 2023.
