FCM appointed to manage NT government international travel

    Flight Centre Travel Group’s flagship large market corporate travel division, FCM, has been appointed to a panel to manage international travel for the Northern Territory Government.

    Following a rigorous tender process, the appointment supports FCM’s commitment to government travel, having been industry leaders during the COVID pandemic for government, as well as the return of international students.

    Melissa Elf, Flight Centre Corporate managing director ANZ, said FCM’s local presence underpinned the ability to navigate the unique nuances of travel within and from the Territory.

    “Our Darwin office was opened 15 years ago and we’re proud to have kept that local presence,’ Elf, said.

    “Since then, we have expanded our Darwin-based operational team and we’re particularly proud of the fact that our local team knows exactly how to support travel in and around the Territory because they are themselves Territorians.

    “Whether born in Darwin, dedicating most of their professional career to the NT, or getting to know the Arrernte Lands and Central Australia during their time in Alice Springs, there’s no one else in the corporate travel industry that better understands the regional and remote travel requirements, or the unique local culture.

    “Thanks to decades of experience in managing the travel for government, we’ve become the experts in making complex travel policies easy by specialising in providing tailored travel solutions to implement large and complex public sector travel programs.

    “We have a dedicated government division. This allows us to really customise our support model, technology, integrations, and interactions to suit many different travellers, bookers, administrators, and management – meaning all levels of travel experience is catered for.
