Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau (TCVB) gave industry members a taste of their new branding &Tokyo while enjoying lunch at one of Sydney’s best Japanese restaurants, Toko.

Tokyo Tourism Representative Katsuji Tochino introduced the new branding campaign for Tokyo, adding they will be targeting the luxury and the family markets in the campaign.

The &Tokyo logo and tagline were created base on its original concept. The logo has featured in various campaigns, most recently during the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Food is also a focus of the campaign, something Masterchef Australia Winner and guest speaker at the event, Adam Liaw, rates Tokyo for.

With over 100,000 restaurants, there is no shortage of options for visitors. Food options are diverse and varied, including traditional, modern Japanese, modern Australian, European and an increasing number of organic options.  Visitors can be treated to the best Michelin restaurants to “coin” meals (a meal that requires just a 500Y coin, approx. $6.50AUD).

A website dedicated to &Tokyo has been launched with the campaign. For more visit https://andtokyo.jp/en/
