February will see Sydney's cruise industry hit another all-time high, with a record 36 ships scheduled to visit over the month. The number exceeds the former record of 33 set in February 2012.

 

Air Tahiti Nui will undertake a $17 million dollar overhaul of its five Airbus A340-300 aircraft to include a new inflight entertainment system and cabin redesign. The fleet will be reconfigured to two-classes with business class seats to rise to 32 from 24 and all seats to be replaced. The changes will be phased in from April 1.

 

Travelport has launched a new fare management tool enabling agents to change the way they manage provate fares programs. Net Fare Manager claims to reduce key strokes related to fare management by up to 80% with its "intuitive" web-based interface.

 

Insight Vacations is offering discounts of up to $1380 per couple on tours from its Europe & Britain and USA & Canada programs until February 15. Under the offer, the 11-day Wonders of Turkey tour is priced from $1515 per person.

 

New Zealand coach holiday specialist, Grand Pacific Tours, has released its 2013/14 brochure, featuring its new offering, Affordable Coach Holidays. At 48-pages, the brochure is its biggest brochure to date. Tours start from $2794 per person.

 

Hahn Air has assured passengers affected by the recent filing for insolvency by OLT Express Germany GmbH, one of its partner airlines, that they will not be left stranded thanks to its Securtix insolvency insurance coverage. Reimbursement under the policy covers the difference between the initial ticket price and the new ticket price, meals and hotel accommodation along with extras such as transfers and phone calls.

 

Tickets have gone on sale for the 2013 Gay Ski Week Queenstown to take place between August 31 and September 7. Bookings can be made at the Gay Ski Week QT website.
