Virgin Australia has applied to the International Air Services Commission for permission to commence codesharing with Airberlin on its services between Perth and Phuket.

The "confidential" codeshare agreement between the two airlines is currently under preparation, Virgin confirmed.

 

Warren Bennett will will retire from his position as executive director of the Board of Airline Representatives of Australia, with Barry Abrams to replace him in late June.

Abrams has a mixture of commercial and government experience having held positions with the NSW Treasury, Qantas and the Productivity Commission.
