Luxperience targets 50% growth in 2014
By admin

Luxury trade show Luxperience has set targets to expand “by at least 50%” next year after 80% of exhibitors said they would return in 2014.

More than 300 buyers met with 148 exhibitors at this year’s event which itself was 50% larger than the inaugural show last year.

The 2014 event will return to Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal in 2014 between August 31 and September 3.

“We already have commitments from 80% of exhibitors that they will sign on again next year,” Luxperience director of sales and partner alliances Lindy Andrews said.

According to a survey of buyers and sellers, an estimated US$4 million worth of business was contracted with two months of the 2013 event, a figure which chief executive Helen Logas predicted should be “comfortably” exceeded this year.

She claimed the venue was among the selling points of Luxperience.

“It gives us the intimacy that luxury buyers and sellers want,” she said. “With the view of the Opera House and waterfront the physical environment is inspirational and helps sellers sell.”
