China Southern grows Brisbane service

China Southern grows Brisbane service
By admin

China Southern Airlines has confirmed it will increase Brisbane frequencies as the carrier continues to ramp up its local presence.

From March 31, its Guangzhou-Brisbane services will rise from four to five times weekly, with the airline attributing the changes to "increasing demand".

The expanded schedule follows the upping of the Brisbane service to daily from January 29 to triangulate for the new seasonal Cairns services for Chinese New Year and the Summer peak.

Meanwhile, website Airline Route revealed the carrier's seasonal double daily Melbourne service will drop to ten times weekly for the northern summer season, up from the daily frequency seen in 2012.

China Southern recently confirmed it will continue to operate its three times weekly Guangzhou-Perth service from March 31 following speculation it was preparing to withdraw from the route.
