Chimu Adventures launches 'PinKtarctica'
By admin

Chimu Adventures is set to lead travellers on an extraordinary polar journey, in support of the McGrath Foundation in November 2015.

The 'PinKtarctica' voyage will take place over 12 days allowing travellers to explore the magic of the Antarctic Peninsula, whilst supporting the McGrath Foundation's mission to raise money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities’ right across Australia.

Travellers aboard the expedition will be joined by special guests: McGrath foundation ambassador and director, Tracy Bevan, and renowned Australian artist, Ken Done.

Bevan has said she is absolutely thrilled to be involved in such an incredible voyage, which she believes will go a long way.  The foundation aims to ensure that every family in Australia experiencing breast cancer has access to a breast care nurse no matter where they live or their financial circumstance.

“We are proud to have funded 100 McGrath Breast Care Nurses working nationally, who together have supported over 25,000 families experiencing breast cancer in Australia. Remarkable events like PinKtarctica will truly help us to continue to make a difference,” Bevan said.

Chimu Adventures Director, Greg Carter, says the Chimu team are extremely excited to be launching the PinKtartica expedition in conjunction with the McGrath foundation as it will allow travellers to give back to a great cause, all whilst enjoying the atmospheric Antarctic region.

“Chimu Adventures was founded with the vision to give back to the community and make a difference through its expeditions – and we believe this voyage is a fantastic opportunity to do just this.” Carter said.

The Sea Adventurer will become the home for guests over the 12 day expedition and is described as the perfect ship for people who enjoy soft adventures and creature comforts.
