Aussies in search of that holiday spark
By admin

Aussies are looking to their holidays as a way of injecting some passion into their lives with almost half of holidaymakers indulging in a little romance while away, according to a new survey.

Accommodation site Stayz.com.au revealed that 47& of Aussies admitted to a holiday fling, with one quarter of the romances resulting in either marriage or a serious relationship.

South Australians emerged as the most up for some loving with 59% indulging in a holiday liaison.

But for many, the feelings didn't end once back home, with over a quarter of Aussies attempting to extend the love fest beyond the end of the holiday. However, Tasmanians were most likely to fail in this objective, with 43% seeing their holiday romance fizzle out when back home.

Meanwhile, for those in relationships, holidays are a great opportunity to rekindle romance, according to 81% or respondents. And away from the daily grind, 74% revealed their libidos flourished.

"Holidays are a great time to find love or enjoy a romantic break with a partner and our research shows that Cupid's arrow has struck for millions of Aussies on their travels across the country," Dave Dunstan, Stayz marketing director, said.

"As we build up to Valentine's Day, it's a great example of how roamce does, and should, last for more than just one day a year."
