Emirates A380 diverts to Perth after departing Sydney

Dubai, UAE - March 31, 2015: Airbus A380 of Emirates Airline departing Dubai airport.

Emirates Flight EK415 has diverted to Perth four hours into its flight from Sydney to Dubai.

The Airbus A380 was flying at around 34,000 southwest of Exmouth when it changed course, and headed south to Perth.

The flight landed just before 9am local time.

Emirates confirmed the diversion to Travel Weekly Australia.

“Emirates flight EK415 from Sydney to Dubai on February 8 2023 was diverted to Perth due to a passenger medical emergency. The passenger was met by local medical staff upon arrival.”

Flight EK415 has since departed Perth at 10:32 AM AWST and is continuing its journey to Dubai.
