Flight Centre’s corporate brands launch new travel policy tool

Flight-Centre-owned corporate travel brands FCM and Corporate Traveller have launched a new online travel policy benchmarking tool.

Designed to maximise efficiencies and provide insight to customers who want to see how their programs compare to others around the world, the new tool enables businesses to monitor expenditures, raise the traveller experience and mitigate risk, all from their own computer.

Powered by FCM’s consulting arm, 4D Business Travel Consulting, the innovative tool provides an expert analysis of the policy’s strengths, highlights areas that need improving and outlines necessary steps to be taken accordingly.

Users who complete the two-minute questionnaire get instant feedback, with clear and expert guidance on what percentile their travel policy sits in globally.

“While some businesses have implemented an interim travel policy to cope with COVID-19, most will need to review this policy as travel resumes and adjust it for our new normal,” said Flight Centre Travel Group FCTG spokesperson Cassandra Thurston.

“We’ve created this powerful online tool to help businesses instantly see where their focus should be, as they work to build a strong and effective travel policy for the new year and beyond.”

The launch of the new tool follows FCTG’s recent global State of the Market business travel study, the results of which indicated that the majority of the 2,000 participating customers were reviewing travel policies with an eye toward stretching budgets and bolstering duty of care.

The latest piece of technology follows the introduction of FCM’s new AI reporting tool, which was launched last month.

Speaking recently at Travel DAZE 2020, FCTG supremo Graham “Skroo” Turner said the company’s corporate travel division will be focusing a lot more on productivity and the tech platforms that it’s been developing and fast-tracking for implementation since COVID-19 hit.
