Airline pilots spot “guy in a jetpack” at 3,000 feet

A series of retouched illustrated images of a silhouette of a rocket jetpack man flying in the sky at sunset. There are a range of positioning of the rocket man to suit your needs. Medium distance composition. The rocket man is an illustration put on a background image of the sunset. The rocket man illustration is an illustration that I drew in photoshop. You will see that it is just a flat shape with no tone or detail, but because it is a silhouette against the sky, it works well. The illustration is a traced illustration from a photographic origin and I took the original photo so I understand that I am the sole copyright holder. I have attached it for you to view in the releases upload as requested.

Commercial pilots from two different flights reported catching sight of a man flying a jetpack at 3,000 feet over the weekend.

American Airlines flight 1997 was approaching LAX from Philidelphia on Sunday evening when its pilot told air traffic control that they had just passed a “guy in a jet pack”.

“Where they off to your left side or right side?” the controlled asked.

The pilot said the person was about 275 meters to the planes left.

According to The New York Times, the interaction was captured by LiveATC.net, which shares recordings of air-traffic-control radio transmissions.

About 30 seconds after the American Airlines pilot reported the siting, a Jetblue pilot reported seeing the man.

“Only in LA,” the flight controller said.

According to The Times, both the FBI and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are investigating the incident.

Due to an increase of drones around airports, the FAA has put in place rules and regulations around flying aerial vehicles close to airports.

American Airlines has declined Travel Weekly‘s request for comment and Jetblue is yet to respond.
