This hotel is giving away a pallet of toilet paper and bottled water

In case you’ve been living under a rock, you will have noticed a shortage of toilet paper at your local supermarket.

Australians have been panic buying the stuff by the trolly full because apparently it’s the thing you need most during a pandemic. We’re not sure if they’ve heard of canned food, but that’s another issue entirely.

In light of this dire state of affairs, Paradise Resort on the Gold Coast is holding a very unique competition. The family-geared resort, which has its own waterpark, is giving away a pallet of toilet paper and bottled water.

So if you’ve got a doomsday bunker, or are interested in starting one, we highly recommend entering this one.

All you have to do is tell the resort in 25 words or less what you would do with a pallet load of loo paper.

The resort appears to be encouraging whoever wins to share the rolls with those who need them, according to the competition page.

“We want to pay it forward and we hope you do to,” it says above the entry box.

The winner will receive 12 packets of 48 x 2 ply toilet rolls (576 rolls of toilet paper) and 24 cartons of water (288 litres of water) plus free delivery to anywhere in Australia.

Entries close at midnight (AEST) on Sunday 5 April and there are 4,221 entries so far so get in quick!
