Places you can go with American Airlines beyond LA
Okay, we know the Sydney to Los Angeles route is a well-travelled one, especially on American Airlines.
So we thought we’d look at some of the destinations That you can look at beyond L.A.
American Airlines flies to multiple destinations across a vast global network. And no, they don’t just travel to American destinations.
In fact, the airline has 6700 flights daily, travelling to 350 destinations in 50 countries. So there’s bound to be somewhere on offer that you want to travel to.
Here are a few of our favourite destinations you can get to with American Airlines.
The Caribbean
Sparkling clear water, tranquil beaches and deserted islands? Sign us up. Find all this and more in the Caribbean. There are a ton of things to do – from surfing to hiking to island hopping to visiting waterfalls.
American Airlines also serve more destinations in the Caribbean than any other US carrier – which means tropical paradise is easier to get to than ever!
Dallas
Another one of American Airlines main hubs is Dallas – and boy is this state worth a visit. Think world-class museums, delicious food and some of the best activities the wild west has to offer – from horse riding to boot-scooting. There’s a killer art district, as well as a Bonnie and Clyde tour. All of which get the tick of approval from us.
And another plus? American Airlines flies from Sydney to Dallas (via LA, obvs) more than you might think. Which makes it even higher on our destination list, if we’re honest.
Spain
Spain is an architectural dream – and an absolute must for anyone travelling to Europe. The best time to visit is between April and May, before it gets too hot. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the stunning beaches:
With American Airlines, you can fly from Charlotte, Dallas/Fort Worth, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, and Chicago.
Cuba
Cuba is a country of surprises, wonder and beauty – and demands to be explored. Think colourful houses lining the streets, delicious Latin food and all the sights without all the tourists.
In 2019, American Airlines will add a sixth destination in Cuba with a new daily flight from Miami International Airport to Antonio Maceo Airport in Santiago de Cuba starting May 3 – making it the only US carrier to fly to Santiago de Cuba.
New York
Perhaps the number one destination in the USA, New York has something for everyone – and is a bucket list item for many. Whether you’re soaking up the sights in Times Square, pretending you’re a millionaire on Fifth Avenue or living like a local in Brooklyn, you can’t leave the USA without visiting this city.
New York is also one of American Airlines main hubs throughout the states – fly Sydney to L.A. and connect to New York on the A321T Transcontinental product, the only true domestic U.S. First Class product. Having flown this one ourselves, we can confidently say it’s a winner.
France
Another classic European destination, France covers a wide range of interests and passions. Love cities and museums? Head to Paris. Love the beach? Head to Nice. Love living the high life? Head to Monte Carlo. Did we mention they have an entire region dedicated to making oh-so-good French champagne? Yep.
American Airlines has six flights to Paris daily from the US. That’s six flights a day you can get on and go.
