Don’t forget to nominate for the WIT Power List!

Don’t forget to nominate for the WIT Power List!

The entries are in, and the travel awards event of the year is coming in hot.

But before the shortlist is announced, we’re collecting votes for the Women in Travel Power List for 2018!

This year, anyone can nominate for the Power List.

Absolutely anyone!

So if you know a powerful lady that’s currently killing it in travel, put her name forward for the Power List 2018!

For all you industry folk, you can nominate a colleague or boss you find inspiring or even nominate yourself!

Then once we have a nice, long list of lovely ladies, we’ll throw it to our judges to pick and choose 20 Power List winners, which will be revealed at the Women in Travel Awards, held in late June this year.

So get nominating here!

These awards recognise exceptional women who have achieved astronomic success in their professional arenas and celebrates their invaluable contribution through their leadership, innovation and courage to the travel industry.

And whilst it’s too late to enter, it’s not too late to nominate yourself or someone else to win a coveted spot on the Women in Travel Power List for 2018!

You’ve got until May 9, which gives you weeks to have a think on who you think should be on that Power List (plus yourself, obvs).

Behold, all the burning questions you may have:

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Can female judges of the awards enter the Power List?

A: Yes, so long as when judging rolls around, you do not vote for yourself.

Q: Is the Power List a popularity contest?

A: No, each person is only entered once and a panel of external judges form the Power List based on the nominees.

Q: How do you judge the Power List?

A: Once the nominations close, we hand the total list over to a stack of judges on the judging panel and they whittle it down to the top 15.

Q: Do you have to be CEO to get on the Power List?

A: No you don’t – you just have to be deemed an influential female in the industry by our judges so everyone’s got a chance!

This year’s awards will be held on June 21 at Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf – and to reiterate, nominations for the Women in Travel Power List 2018 will close May 9.

All other info can be found on the Women in Travel website here – but to lock yourself in, grab yourself an early bird ticket right here.

Massive shout out to all our sponsors who keep making this event happen every year!
