NTIA unveils 2018 nominations

It’s that time of the year again, where the travel industry finds out who’s hot, who’s not, and who to make friends with, in a bid to secure a spot as a finalist.

The AFTA list of 2018 National Travel Industry Award (NTIA) nominees are out – did you make the cut?

As in previous years, more than 1,000 nominees were received across all 38 award categories.

Voting will commence tomorrow, Tuesday 13 March at 9:00am (AEDT).

AFTA congratulates all those nominated and wishes everyone the best of luck through the voting and judging processes.

Ahead of the awards, AFTA has compiled a list of the top 5 tips for those Finalists making a presentation to the AFTA Judging Panel.

These tips are based on feedback from previous year’s judging and will assist you in preparing for your presentation and best utilising the time allowed.

  • Voting Period – Tuesday 13 March – Thursday 29 March
  • Finalists Announced (Voted & Submission Categories) – Thursday 3 May
  • Ticket Sales – Friday 4 May
  • Judging Commences – Monday 28 May 2018 (Judged categories only)
  • Gala Dinner – Saturday 21 July 2018

Popular nominee categories this year were the Best Travel Agency categories, Best Sales Executive Industry Supplier, Best Agency Support Service, Best Specialty Wholesaler and Best Travel Writer – Consumer (so that rules out TW as we’re only trade press).
