Australian legends add celebrity star power to Brisbane Airport campaign
What do Queensland rugby league legend Cameron Smith, singer songwriter Pete Murray, and travel expert Catriona Rowntree have in common?
They’re the stars of Brisbane Airport’s (BNE) first ever consumer marketing campaign.
The campaign, the first of its type for an airport in Australia, will launch to local Queensland audiences with a television commercial (TVC) in the pre-match broadcast of the 2018 NRL Grand Final. It will then roll out across Queensland and Northern NSW, reminding locals that Brisbane Airport is their best choice for overseas travel.
The TVC follows a uniquely Queensland icon, the ‘Tambo Teddy’, which gets left behind at the terminal kerb as his family arrive at BNE. The BNE Champions work together to return the lost Teddy to its owner, Lucas, before he departs on his flight direct from Brisbane to Vancouver.
Emirates to introduce additional flights to Stockholm
Emirates today announced that it will introduce three additional flights per week to the Swedish capital, complementing Emirates’ existing schedule and providing more choice to travellers from 8th December 2017.
The new scheduled flights will be added to meet the growing demand for travel on the route, particularly during the winter season. Since launching its current daily scheduled service in September 2013, Emirates has continued to grow demand for both inbound and outbound travel. The introduction of the three additional flights on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday is in response to the increased demand.
The three new weekly flights will enhance Sweden’s global long-haul connectivity, offering passengers travelling from Stockholm the chance to reach over 70 Emirates destinations in Asia, Australasia, Africa and the Middle East.
