Aussies turn on popular Bali destination
Australians are shifting away from Seminyak hotels and opting to stay in downtown Kuta.
In 2016, Seminyak was consistently the most popular village for travellers and the same for this year up to June.
However, according to searches made for June, July and August this year, Aussie travellers are making a shift to Kuta and making the less expensive village now the most popular village in Bali.
The average hotel price in Seminyak will cost holiday-goers $193 a night, while in Kuta the average cost is $65.
In addition, search trends show that users on Trivago, are increasingly searching the generic “Bali” term, rather than directly searching for the village they want to stay in, which had been the usual case.
This year, on a monthly basis this is how Seminyak prices have been trending:
