Travel Directors introduce agent commissions

Boutique tour operator Travel Directors has unleashed its program into the world of agents, launching a 10 per cent commission that is payable on its unique high-end tours.

According to general manager Nia Carras, the company is keen to kick off an “ongoing association” with the trade, in what she said was the “beginning of a new era” for the way the company operates.

“Trends show that travellers considering our itineraries are likely to seek the advice of specialised travel agents with longstanding reputations,” Carras said.

“Feedback from a number of agents in recent months suggests a high demand for the types of tour we operate.”

Travel Directors offers over 25 tours to places such as Iran, Armenia, Georgia, Serbia and Slovenia, among many others, and aims to offer unique itineraries peppered with exclusive events, private dinners, and interaction with local people.

Their first fully escorted tour was The Legendary Trans-Siberian to China, Mongolia and Russia 25 years ago, but today they’ve got over 80 destinations under the belt.
