Bookings start as Vanuatu’s anticipated new resort readies to open
Bookings have opened at Vanuatu’s highly anticipated new four-star resort, Ramada Resort Port Vila as it gears up to open early next year.
The first Ramada-branded property to open in Vanuatu, the 80-room Ramada Resort Port Vila is nestled on the cliffs of Erakor Lagoon and will offer guests unobstructed views of the sandy white beaches and turquoise waters of Erakor Island.
Located just five minutes from the heart of Port Vila and ten minutes from Bauerfield International Airport, the AUD $30m resort development will offer studio rooms, as well as one and two-bedroom suites when it opens next year.
Ramada Resort Port Vila is now taking bookings for stays from 1 April 2017 and beyond, through its new website www.ramadaresort.com.vu and through wholesalers, travel agents and online travel agencies.

At the recent World Travel Awards, One&Only Hayman Island was named Australia’s Leading Resort 2016 at a gala ceremony in Danang, Vietnam. These awards recognise the best in travel and tourism in Asia and the Australasia region and adds to the list of recent awards received for both One&Only Hayman Island in the Great Barrier Reef and Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley in the Blue Mountains.
One&Only Hayman Island was also named Oceania’s Best Resort Spa and Australia’s Best Resort Spa at the 2nd Annual World Spa Awards, as well as being ranked #2 resort in Australasia & South Pacific in the Condé Nast Traveller 19th Annual Readers’ Travel Awards.
AccorHotels Race to Survive Fiji fundraising event focuses on the community
Following on from successful events over the past decade, which have raised more than $1.8 Million dollars, AccorHotels and their charity partner Cure Kids kicked off day one of the five day event with an early wakeup and a number of physic al challenges. The competitors and crew then headed out to Kesa Village on Naviti Island in the Yasawa’s courtesy of Awesome Adventures Fiji.
After an emotional welcome on the beach by the entire village the competitors were put straight to work. Following the devastation of Tropical Cyclone Winston earlier this year, a major focus for the village is to rebuild and increase their water harvesting initiatives. The event teams built and installed a total of 4 water tanks for the village over the day and a half they spent there.
