AFTA has announced 7 new categories to be included in its 2015 National Travel Industry Awards, with winners to be announced at the gala event on July 18 at Dockside Pavilion Darling Harbour.

The new categories will be in addition to 3 revised category names to “reflect the changing, dynamic nature of the travel industry,” according to AFTA.

"For AFTA, NTIA is one of the most important calendar events and as NTIA grows year-on-year we feel it increasingly important to ensure that the categories reflect the structure of the industry,” AFTA chief executive, Jayson Westbury said.

"In 2015, there are 37 award categories worthy of celebrating. Truly this is a remarkable indicator of the size and strength of the travel sector.”
