App launch boosts appeal of destination weddings
By admin

Great Destination Weddings has announced the launch of its new app, which gives users the chance to download the entire 2014/15 annual edition for free.

The free issue is just one of the benefits of downloading the app, which will share tips, advice and inspiration from brides, as well a range of destination videos to help couples picture their own destination weddings.

In the US, statistics reveal that 16% of marriages are destination weddings, with the market accounting for billions of dollars in annual spending.

And while there is no official data for Aussies yet, it is fast becoming a popular alternative to getting hitched at home.

Great Destination Weddings, which is the sister title to Holidays for Couples magazine, is already a big player in the holiday-wedding and romance travel market.

Managing editor Tanya Joslin said the app has already generated plenty of interest, with advertisers in the current issue supporting the launch.

Whitsunday Marketing and Development has released a 20-page Wedding Whitsunday Guide, available to download for free through the Great Destination Weddings app.

The print magazine will continue to be stocked at newsagencies and via subscription for $9.90, as well as in selected bookstores in Asia and New Zealand.
