Christchurch Airport has followed through on its commitment to celebrate the birth of the royal baby by illuminating its terminal.

Following weeks of alternating pink and blue as royal baby watch ticked by, it is now officially lit blue each night for the next week to welcome and celebrate the arrival of the infant – the new Prince of Cambridge.

The airport is the only one in the country with the ability to light the exterior panels, both landside and airside.
