Etihad, Virgin, TA take on Germany
By admin

Etihad Airways, Tourism Australia and Virgin Australia have joined forces to promote Australia as a destination in Germany.

The new program is an extension of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the parties in 2012 and will run from now until the end of June 2013 using Tourism Australia's There's Nothing Like Australia campaign.

Tourism Australia managing director identified the German campaign as the first time it has partnered with Etihad and Virgin on a joint campaign.

"The strength of this parnership lies in combining the two airlines' extensive networks and marketing spend under the banner of our successful There's Nothing Like Australia campaign," he said. "Australia still retains strong appeal amongst German travellers."

Meanwhile, Etihad general manager Germany, Philip Lewin, said the fares on offer through the campaign are "some of the lowest and best value return fares we've ever offered to Australia".
