WTF: nightmare airline seats revealed

New airplane seating has been revealed, and we hope fellow airline passengers don’t have garlic breath.

Prepared to get really up close and personal on your next flight with the introduction of face-to-face seating. Zodiac-Seats-France

The new aircraft seating plan by industry supplier Zodiac Seats France shows alternating forward and backward facing seats, placed side-by-side, Times reports.

Intended for short-haul flights to make better use of cabin space by adding more room for more seats.

The supplier says the unconventional design will also “increase the space available at the shoulder and arm area”.

The lightweight seats would be built with televisions and foldable tray tables in the back, and the design would still comply with industry standards for aisle space, the publication reports.

Zodiac said the industry has shown “strong interest” in the concept of its economy class hexagon seating configuration, the Times reports.
