South African Tourism treats 90 AU/NZ guests to inaugural ‘Mega Lekker Escape’
Edited by Travel Weekly

90 Australian and New Zealand travel agents, consumer and trade media have embarked on South African Tourism’s inaugural Mega Lekker Escape.

Over the next week, they will explore South Africa on a series of nine simultaneous famils across the country, each led by an ANZ Wholesaler, culminating in a two-day training event at the spectacular Sun City Resort in the Pilanesberg Big 5 Game Reserve.

From the Kalahari Desert to Cape Agulhas where two oceans meet, the groups will venture into unchartered territory, discovering not only the main tourist attractions but the country’s hidden gems and enriching community and conservation experiences, which will equip them not only with the knowledge and confidence to sell the destination, but engrave it on their heart.

This initiative has only been made possible thanks to the participation of South African Tourism’s Australian and New Zealand trade wholesaler partners – Above and Beyond Holidays, Adventure Destinations, Adventure World, MW Tours, The Africa Safari Co., This is Africa, Viva Expeditions and World Journeys, who were responsible for arranging and hosting the itineraries in South Africa.
