“SANTA!”: New York hotel opens Elf-inspired Christmas suite

A New York hotel has opened a Christmas holiday suite inspired by Jon Favreau’s Christmas classic Elf. And now we’re moving to America.

The film, which stars Will Ferrell as lead character Buddy, is a cult icon and a Christmas classic. And finally, a New York hotel has fitted-out a room that allows guests to fall into the world of Elf.

Throughout December, guests at Club Wyndham Midtown 45 in Manhattan, can stay in a suite transformed into a room reminiscent of Buddy’s.

The ceiling will be adorned with paper snowflakes and popcorn garlands, while the bathroom looks like a giant Christmas present. There are also enough sweets to satisfy the biggest sweet tooth with the “four main elf food groups” on offer: candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup.

You should probably check with your dentist before checking-in.

“Check ‘sleep inside a Christmas card’ off your NYC bucket list with your very own Elf-inspired suite,” Midtown 45 writes.

The hotel also revealed that guests staying at the suite will get complimentary admission to two of Buddy’s favourite spots: the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Plaza.

Unfortunately, Club Wyndham Midtown 45 has revealed that the room is currently sold out through to the end of December.

We can think of a few things Buddy would say in this situation:

“Son of a nutcracker!” and “You sit on a throne of lies!”
