Qantas and IndiGo pen new codeshare agreement for extra AU-India routes
Edited by Travel Weekly

Qantas has expanded its codeshare partnership with India’s largest domestic airline, IndiGo, offering customers more travel options between Australia and India.

From today, customers can seamlessly connect from Qantas flights in Singapore onto IndiGo’s services to Delhi and Mumbai.

This adds to the existing codeshare arrangements which offers customers on Qantas flights in Bengaluru and Delhi the ability to connect onto IndiGo domestic services to 21 other destinations across India,”

“Since we launched our codeshare agreement with Indigo in 2022, we’ve continued to see the partnership go from strength to strength,’ Qantas International CEO Cam Wallace said.

“We’re excited to be growing our partnership further, offering our customers more choice and convenience when flying between Australia and India. This will also give frequent flyers another way to earn and redeem points and status credits.

“We expect the new codeshare flights through Singapore will be popular with Qantas customers in Brisbane and Perth, who now have the option of a more direct route to India.”

Customers can also build overnight stopovers in Singapore into their itinerary before connecting to Delhi or Mumbai.

Qantas customers travelling on IndiGo have the same checked baggage allowance as their flight from Australia and receive complimentary food and drinks and Frequent Flyers can earn and redeem points on connecting IndiGo flights (with a QF code) between Singapore and India.

Qantas last week increased its flights to both India and Singapore, with flights from Sydney to Bengaluru upped to daily over the peak holiday season as well as additional flights to Singapore from Sydney and Brisbane (subject to government and regulatory approval).
