Iconic venue Selina’s announces its return

Iconic Sydney venue Selina’s announced its triumphant return today, with significant upgrades following an extensive period of renewal and renovations.

The celebrated Sydney venue will be officially opening its doors from Mon 24 April, ready to welcome performers, event producers, exciting brand partnerships and patrons to its new and improved facilities.

Behind the reimagining of Selina’s are owners and dedicated hospitality group, C-INC. In combination with the creative and strategic guidance of experienced industry professionals, the re-opening of Selina’s adds a seminal events space to Sydney’s remerging night-life economy and is a new keystone venue for artists, event producers and brands to showcase their creativity.

The refurbished and rebranded venue features a scalable capacity of 400 to 1,750 and boasts in-house concert-level audio and visual production supply, giant rear-of-stage mobile LED screen, all-new flooring throughout, improved access points, branded architectural design installations and renovated stage facilities.

These updates, along with all-new creative direction and design powered by Frame Creative and Grand North, publicity by Scrabble PR, marketing by Thrwbck Social, innovative ticketing solutions and sales support through Moshtix plus an exciting new entertainment-focused partnership with Balter Beer – re-establish Selina’s as one of the leading entertainment venues in Sydney.

Perched enviably oceanside in Coogee Bay and adjacent to one of the city’s most awarded venues, Coogee Bay Hotel, Selina’s continues to leave its mark as a legendary music and cultural beacon for artists and patrons alike. Its stage has hosted lauded performances from pioneering acts such as Nirvana, Radiohead, Sex Pistols, The Killers, Sonic Youth, INXS, Cold Chisel and Grinspoon, along with contemporary acts of today including Ocean Alley, Winston Surfshirt, The Rubens and Hockey Dad.

Alongside its profound and lasting influence on Australian live music culture, Selina’s has also staged exceptional private events and activations for leading brands like American Express, Microsoft, Google, Peugeot, Uber Eats and many more over its five decades.

The venue offers its very own boutique accommodation on site and is located alongside several bars as well as sensational restaurant Marra, also housed within the Coogee Bay Hotel. This location, in conjunction with Selina’s fabled history and skilled team of entertainment, events and hospitality professionals, makes it a venue unlike most.

Selina’s has the ability to deliver and stage a wide range of experiences including but not limited to headline music shows, theatre and comedy performances, private events and functions, brand activations and promotions, on-location film and advertorial shoots, fashion events and showcases, plus sports-led events and screenings.
