Hilton opens 600th APAC hotel with Garden Inn’s Japanese debut

Hilton has officially opened its first Garden Inn property in Japan with Hilton Garden Inn Kyoto Shijo Karasuma welcoming guests this week.

The new opening also marks an incredible milestone for Hilton as the company’s 600th hotel in Asia Pacific, cementing Hilton’s position as the fastest-growing hotel company in the region.

Located in central Kyoto, only three minutes from Kyoto Station by subway and a four-minute walk from the Shijo and Gojo subway stations, Hilton Garden Inn Kyoto Shijo Karasuma is close to popular tourist attractions such as Gion and Nijo Castle and within walking distance of shopping areas such as Nishiki Market and the business district.

At nine stories, the 250-room hotel features guest rooms combining traditional Japanese elements with modern sensibilities across nine room categories ranging from functional standard 20 to 23-square-meter layouts for up to two people, to 57-square-meter premium family rooms that can accommodate up to six people comfortably.
