Flight Centre Travel Group Independent hosts supplier training days

Flight Centre Travel Group Independent hosted 60 agents for three full days of training across Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne last week.

Mobile agents from Travel Partners, Flight Centre Independent and Travel Associates at Home attended, as well as independent travel agency owners and manager who align with FCTG Independent.

Agents received updates from a range of suppliers, including Viking Cruises, Quark Expeditions, Collette, NIB, TTC Touring, Rocky Mountaineer, Regent Seven Seas, Globus family of brands and Entire Travel Group.

“FCTG Independent is a valuable partner of the Globus family of brands, and we’re seeing excellent growth in this space. It was a pleasure for our team to connect with these entrepreneurial travel agency owners and share the unique features of our product range,” global account manager, Globus family of brands, Mitch Spencer, said.

They also received updates regarding some of the benefits they receive through FCTG Independent, such as the ability to redeem Flight Centre gift cards and Commonwealth Bank rewards, as well as systems and support tips.

“Having attended these training days myself, it was such a pleasure to connect with so many of our agents and offer them valuable training opportunities,” the general manager of FCTG Independent Australia, Astrid Richard, said.

“We consistently hear from suppliers about how engaged and proactive our independent agents are, and our support team are constantly looking for new ways to strengthen those connections with our network.”

In each city, the training was followed by afternoon drinks and networking, hosted by Globus. This is the first post-pandemic series of training days hosted by FCTG Independent, which will now become a quarterly event for their network of independent travel agencies.
