Bruce Poon Tip’s new travel doco to premiere in Sydney this week

Travel DAZE is just around the corner (THIS THURSDAY!) and to celebrate, we’d like to invite you to a very special event taking place after hours.

After you’ve heard from our blockbuster lineup of speakers (featuring the likes of Australia’s favourite clever person Dr Karl, G Adventure’s founder Bruce Poon-Tip, B Corp’s Mindy Leow, former deputy chief medical officer Dr Nick Coatsworth and LOADS more), we’ve got a special surprise in store for you.

No, it’s not an after-party at the pub down the road (though, that is likely to happen); we’re hosting the Australian premiere of The Last Tourist, a new documentary that lays the industry bare and offers actionable steps to ensure travel is used as a force for good.

Travel has reached a tipping point. Pre-pandemic, overtourism was impacting the environment, wildlife and vulnerable communities around the world.

As international travel returns, we have been presented with an opportunity: COVID-19 forced a travel pause that has given the industry a chance to reset and rebuild in a more meaningful way, to deliver more enriching experiences to a more conscious consumer and ultimately reshape modern-day tourism.

Join us at Palace Chauvel Cinema on 9 June, just after Travel DAZE wraps up for an exclusive screening of The Last Tourist with executive producer and founder of G Adventures, Bruce Poon Tip who will be joining the filmmakers after the screening for a special Q&A.
