More departure dates for Flinders Ranges Outback Tour
Due to high demand Flinders Ranges Odysseys’ has released additional 2018 and 2019 departure dates for its popular four day/three-night Flinders Ranges Outback Tour.
The tour discovers the spectacular and rugged scenery of Wilpena Pound and the magnificent Flinders Ranges, the largest mountain range in South Australia. The Flinders Ranges Outback Tour will now operate more frequently, with additional dates added to the existing fortnightly departures.
The four-Day Flinders Ranges Outback Tour includes all meals, touring and accommodation. Guests explore the Flinders Ranges in luxury air-conditioned Mercedes Benz vehicles, in small groups of up to eight people, accompanied by a personal local tour guide.
Accommodation is at the award-winning Rawnsley Park Station in luxurious Eco Villas or one-bedroom Holiday Units and at the famous Prairie Hotel at Parachilna. The tour departs from Adelaide and highlights include touring Wilpena Pound and the southern Flinders Ranges, visiting Kanyaka Station Homestead Ruins, the copper mining town of Blinman, and the Nilpena Station Ediacaran Experience with fossils over 500 million years old.

World Journeys report that the popular Blue Train in South Africa is enhancing their experience in 2019 by making it a two-night journey between Pretoria and Cape Town.
As well as an extra night’s accommodation onboard arguably the most lavish train on the planet, the new itinerary will also now include a guaranteed two and a half hour off-train excursion in Kimberley, and a wider variety of menus to choose from due to the extra meals served. 2019 rates start from $2,218 per person (share twin), which includes two night’s luxury accommodation; all gourmet meals and beverages, snacks and high tea; and guided sightseeing in Kimberley.

A fully-guided trek along the Queensland Sunshine Coast’s spectacular Cooloola Coast will be launched in April providing an unforgettable adventure through massive sand-dunes, hidden sub-tropical rainforests and along unspoilt beaches between Noosa and Rainbow Beach.
Renowned small-group trekking specialists, Tropical Treks, will offer the new Great Cooloola Walk guided trek on a fortnightly basis starting from Sunday 22 April to Sunday, 23 September 2018. The 88km, 5-day/4-night, fully-guided, self-sufficient trek, links the Noosa Northshore to Rainbow Beach via the 500,000 year old Cooloola Sandmass and its unique dune, water, and vegetation systems.
Experienced Tropical Treks guides will lead the tours highlighting the many rare and native animals inhabiting the Sandmass, including Ground Parrots, Feathertailed Gliders, Koalas and Wallabies, along with rich flora and myriad wildflowers. Humpback whales can be seen as they migrate up the coast during the winter months.
Groups are limited to six and the package includes all camping equipment, meals and drinks along the trek. Nightly accommodation is in four walkers’ camps, which offer tranquil camping experiences with toilets and freshwater.
