Cruise360 Australasia will take a river journey of the world this September as Avalon Waterways president Pam Hoffee takes the stage at this year’s cruise industry conference.

Hoffee is the first of several world cruise industry leaders to join the line-up for this year’s Crusie360, which will be held in Brisbane for the first time.

Hosted by Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the event is expected to attract around 600 delegates for a packed program industry speakers and panel sessions, each giving essential insight into cruising’s global trajectory.

CLIA managing director in Australasia Joel Katz said Hoffee would explain the evolution underway in river cruising and the opportunities this presents for travel agents and their clients.

“Rivers have been the lifeblood of communities for millennia and have come to provide incredibly rich experiences for travellers through river cruising,” Katz said.

Pam Hoffee has led Avalon Waterways through a time of great innovation in river cruising, so will be able to provide fantastic insight into what river cruise guests are seeking and how the industry has changed to broaden their experiences.”

Hoffee has been a long-time executive of Avalon Waterways and its parent group, the Globus Family of brands.

She has overseen the introduction of new product initiatives based on active experiences and cultural discoveries, as well as a continued expansion of the river cruise line’s signature Suite Ship fleet.

The Cruise360 Australasia conference and trade show will be held on September 7 at the Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane, with an industry-wide welcome event on the night of September 6.
