Albatross Tours has grown again with the hire of Matt Speakman as customer service and sales team leader in a newly created role.

Speakman joins Albatross from Sno’n’Ski Holidays where he has spent just over 2 years and was most recently NZ product manager.

His previous experience covers a stint at Flight Centre as a strategic partnership manager and also time spent as a senior sales and customer service assistant at Super Butcher.

“I’m proud to join such a highly respected, award-winning company like Albatross Tours,” Speakman said. “The opportunity to lead the team to support advisors across Australia and New Zealand, and build on an already impressive and very loyal repeat customer base was too good to pass up! Travel Agents are key to our strategy at every point in the customer journey – before, during and after their Albatross European tour. I look forward to helping agencies to grow their touring business with Albatross.”

Shelley Poten, managing director of Albatross Tours Commented: “Matt brings such an impressive service ethic to support our European Touring Specialists deliver excellence to advisors. I’m delighted that Matt has joined our wonderfully talented team to grow our retail partnerships.”

The news come just one week after Albatross Tours appointed James Hewlett as its director of marketing. Whilst Speakman’s role is a new role, Hewlett’s role was a replacement.
