TravelManagers hopes to draw in more recruits as it reported a record sales week, with its personal travel managers notching up an average revenue increase of 14%.

General manager Michael Gazal attributed the strong result to a "robust and confident" market and growing demand for the personal travel manager "concept".

"We're very pleased with these results because it shows that our personal travel manager have taken everything we've given them and leveraged it into sales," he said. "We're expecting these sales figures to further cement our standing in the industry."

Gazal expected the growing success of the firm's personal travel managers to attract more interest from travel consultants "looking for a change".

"Travellers are now aware of the personal travel manager option so we're going to need more people to meet demand," said.

He highlighted the firm's investment in training, famils, technical suport and mentorship as among the reasons for agents to consider the option.
