Travel Counsellors' to host morning info session
By admin

Travel Counsellors has announced it will host a special ‘Discovery Morning’ on Thursday August 14, following an increase in agents joining the company and running their own home-based businesses.

The company has reported an increase of 16% in new Travel Counsellors since last financial year, as well as receiving a surge in enquiries from industry professionals looking into the advantages of working with the company.

The company will host an informal breakfast at its head office in Melbourne, allowing anyone interested in learning more about the company to come along and meet the company’s support team.

Travel Counsellors Australia’s general manager Tracy Parkinson said the rise in interest in the company drove them to offer an event where people could learn more.

“It will enable us to demonstrate the commercial, marketing, business development and IT support we provide, and answer any questions people might have in a very informal and friendly environment,” Parkinson said.

“The whole event will last just over an hour and we decided to hold it in the morning so people can drop in on their way to work for a quick chat if it suits them better.”

The session also gives guests the chance to chat via webcam with one of the company’s travel counsellors for a live Q&A session to find out what it’s like to run their own travel business.

Victoria-based travel counsellor Sharon Waugh said the Discovery Day event she attended helped her to make the switch to join the company in 2013.

“I found the event I attended at the company’s head office very useful as I was able to meet the staff and find out more about all the support I would receive if I became a Travel Counsellor,” Waugh said.

“It certainly helped me make my decision.”

The Discovery Morning will be held on Thursday August 14 from 7.45am to 9am at Travel Counsellors Melbourne office.
