QantasLink expands NSW services

QantasLink expands NSW services
By admin

QantasLink will add eight weekly flights from Sydney to both Tamworth and Dubbo from April as part of an expansion of its New South Wales network.

The increases will take the number of weekly Tamworth seats to 4400 and 3100 to Dubbo. QantasLink will also build a $400,000 lounge at Tamworth.

In addition, the carrier will increase its weekly Sydney-Coffs Harbour frequency from 66 to 70 flights and operate larger Dash 8 Q300 aircraft between Sydney and Armidale, adding 200 weekly seats to the route.

QantasLink executive manager John Gissing said: "The changes are a clear indication of the confidence we have in New South Wales' regional business and leisure tourism market.

"As well as benefiting local businesses and tourism operators, improved capacity and scheduling will give the local community more seamless and accessible travel opportunities."

Meanwhile, QantasLink services between Moree and Sydney will cease from March 30, after the New South Wales government awarded the next five year contract for the service to Brindabella Airlines.

All QantasLink customers booked to travel on the route after this date will be rebooked onto the Brindabella service.
