Malaysia Airlines will increase its six times weekly Kuala Lumpur-Brisbane service to daily from September 13, according to website Airline Route.

 

China Southern Airlines has appointed Nikki Woodward, formerly of Air Tickets, as its new sales development executive Queensland to join its expanding Brisbane office.

 

Etihad will wet-lease an Air France Airbus A340-300 for use on its Paris-Abu Dhabi route from May 15 to November 30, as the two carriers continue to strengthen their relationship.

 

Rail Europe is offering a 20% discount on BritRail and BritRail England Passes when booked by February 15. The fares start at $138 per adult in second class and $208 in first class for travel by February 28.

 

Emirates has deployed a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on its daily Dubai-Lusaka-Harare service. The introduction of the larger aircraft comes one year after the service's launch and adds more than 1,600 seats on the route.

 

Sofitel will expand its Asia Pacific network with the addition of four new properties in 2013, taking its regional portfolio to 42. The new properties include the Sofitel Shanyang Lido, the Sofitel So Singapore, the Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua and the Sofitel Shanghai Jing'an.

 

Growing interest in travel to Taiwan from the local market saw more than 78,000 Australians visit the destination in 2012. The figure represents an increase of around 7% on the previous year.

 

British Airways is offering Valentine's Day fare deals to Singapore from $881 in World Traveller economy and $1,881 in World Traveller Plus premium economy with hotel stays from $81 per person per night. The offer is available for bookings made by February 11 for travel by May 31.
