The challenge for the industry is… managing the impacts of a globalised economy and planning to future proof against this.

The things I like about my job are… discovering new technological solutions allowing us to drive more business for our partners. I really enjoy working with our hotel chains. We’ve got such a diverse selection of product in the region so there’s always something new or exciting to sell.  Also, the view of the harbour from our office.

And the frustrations… 8pm conference calls.

If I didn’t work in travel I would be a… I wanted to be a paramedic a long time ago but I can’t stand the sight of blood!

Qantas or Virgin?… Virgin.

My proudest moment was… being transferred from the UK to my current position here in Sydney.

The naughtiest thing I ever did was… I accidently kept my phone on during a flight once…

I relax by… laying on a sun lounger, gorgeous sea views, cool lounge music and amazing cocktails.

The last time I feared for my life… last week. I was on my Blackberry responding to an email and wasn’t looking where I was going and nearly stepped into the path of a bus. Scarydotcom.

If I can, I always try to avoid… the bendy bus to Bondi on a hot summer’s day!

I really wish I had… a Learjet.

The best advice I’ve ever received was… “always try your hardest, if you do that then you can’t do anymore”.

I don’t understand why… I haven’t won the lottery yet.

My greatest weakness is… vlook ups in Excel.

And my greatest strength… my enthusiasm.

If I was prime minister I would… create a new national public holiday. Everyone needs more of those right?

If I won $1 million on the lottery I would… set up my own business. Probably a bar or a small boutique hotel.

If I could be someone else for one day I would be… Richard Branson.

I’ve always wanted to travel to… Machu Picchu.

My favourite holiday was… a break to Rai Leh in Thailand.  It’s such a chilled out place and the scenery is amazing.
