Fifth hotel takes Pullman brand

Fifth hotel takes Pullman brand
By admin

Accor-operated Pullman Hotels has continued its Australian expansion with Sydney’s Quay Grand Suites in Circular Quay the latest property to join the network.

The newly-named Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour becomes the third Pullman in the NSW capital and fifth in Australia.

Three more – The Sebel Cairns, Sebel King George Square Brisbane and Sebel Albert Park Melbourne – will also take the brand in the next six months as part of its plan to operate 15 by the end of next year.

Accor said the growth puts Pullman on track to become the largest five star chain in Australia with several Mirvac properties likely to be rebranded over the next 12 months.

Globally, the hotel group is expecting 150 Pullman properties by 2015.

Accor chief operating officer Simon McGrath said the Quay Grand will become on the brand’s flagship properties and will be the venue for the global launch in December.

“It makes sense for us to grow this brand in Australia where there is clear demand for quality internationally-branded hotels aimed at the corporate and upscale leisure markets,” he said.
