Creative Holidays has unveiled its first standalone Stopover brochure for 2013, as the operator reported growing demand from travellers keen to explore while in transit.

The inaugural program features holiday options in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Guangzhou.

Managing director Paul McGrath confirmed stopovers have always been a "strong seller" for Creative, but insisted demand is growing.

"While this was previously seen as a means to rest and regenerate for the next leg, travellers are now recognising the unique offerings of these destinations and are staying longer to really explore," he said.

To capitalise on this trend, the firm has created the dedicated brochure which aims to provide agents with a "comprehensive reference" while helping them to upsell stopover options to "maximise their earning potential."

In addition to a range of hotels, the program also features a range of tours between two and four days in length.
